Depends what type of jumping, how heavy you are, where you ride most (eg street, park, dirt) and how smooth a rider you are. If your fairly soft of your wheels and light weight, go flys or colonys. they're good rims and come in the blue you want. if your a more burly rider who flatlands heaps and are heavy, go find a condemned rim. I run a condemned and I cannot break it. its heaps strong. light too

Yeah man condemned would be the rim for you then. I think they go for about $140

Colony double walls are very much a stock standard in BMX. Not saying their weak though, cause they are pretty strong. Against a rider like me though they would bend pretty quickly. They're in the same league as fly's I think. Condemned's are a more recent product, having been released in the last 2 years (I think). You should tell that guy at the bike shop to read a BMX mag a little more often because alot of the time Condemned have adds and product specs in them. Condemned's are alot like a Demolition rim. Same basic design. The difference though is Condemned have widened the side walls of the rim an extra millimeter... or around that. Eitherway, they are stronger than a G-sport rim while being lighter than a Hazard. If you're a super weight weeny you probably wouldn't run it but if you're cool with a bit more weight for a rediculous increase in strength, do it. I'm actually really surprised the guy hasn't heard of Condemned. Tell him to hurry up and get details on the latest stuff or he'll be left back in time with Redlines and Diamondbacks.

Hi guys just wondering if there is any way to stop the brake pad from scratching the rim?

Cheers

nah not really. it just wears down after time. dont worry about it tho. it means nothing (unless the break pad has worn down to the metal and then its metal on metal. then its time to get a new pad)
