hey guys and girls im new here and new to bmx, im looking to buy my first bike and want something fairly reasonably priced, like 200 - 300 bucks (second hand) for getting started.

ive looked in the quokka (a classifieds paper in Perth for those who dont know Wink )  (Oh and a quokka is fury little kangaroo thing, if your interested Undecided)

so ive spotted two bikes that from a quick net search seem to be fairly decent bikes.

as written in the quokka theye are:

 BMX Haro 2008 $200 ono

and

BMX Hoffman Disrupter, gd tyres, very strong $220

so basically i dont have any real idea of a good bike from a shit one

I want to get into freestyle so is anyone able to give me advice on these two bikes or an idea on what to look out for in my price range?

much apeciated

do you have an idea if you want to ride street/dirt/park?

and are the bikes you've said stock or do you have a specs list?

Nah i got no specs eh thats all the info theye gave, i figure ill be able to get a better bike for cheeper if i go second hand.

though that obviously depends on the condition of the bike.

I think to start with i will be doing mainly street stuff, playing round in the driveway and streets round where i live.

lol thats all well and good everyone has a play out on the street when they first start Smile wat nick ment was, will you want to ride vert ramps? dirt jumps? concrete bowls/parks? or street, like rails, gaps, manuals etc.

the type of bike you buy will want to be edging towards the disaplin that intrests you most. take my bike for example.

i ride vert and park so i have a fairly light bike but a bit more weight than normal so i have more stability in the air when riding vert. i also run my bars alot further forward than other people because im tall. things like that. the top tube length is up to your own personal liking really.

just find a nice bike to work things out on. you can add and subtract things you dont want to need as you want.

P.S. some good brands are Haro, Odayssay =S, Sunday, Verdae, Black eye and even giant.

Ok cheers ill keep an eye out for those Smile

Yeah i think street will be where ill start, mainly coz its easily accesable but eventually i think ill move to dirt,

as far as the specific stuff goes like, verts, rails manuals and shit im not sure, just whatever is in my way i guess Smile
