Hey mate, I have had the same problem over the years wit all my bikes, and i have suspissions that the noise comes from either the bb in your pedals,, or in your crank, i normally pull my crank apart once a week an put new bb's in an give it a thorough clean

wow new BB every week?? I'm not that committed haha I just make sure to keep them clean. pull em apart, re greese everything, throw em back togather and that should solve your problems. remember to greese the bolts and all that too

Sometimes, it's just maybe a bolt is loose and metal is rubbing against metal. Just try tightening the various bolts around the BB area: sprocket bolt, crank pinch bolts, BB axle bolts. Also try tightening the pedals and make sure the chain is not too tight (especially if using chain tensioners). Using grease on threaded parts also helps eliminate squeaks, keep water out and seems to keep the parts together better; that's just my own observation, there is no scientific basis. Well, not that I know of anyway.

Hope that helps! Ride On!
