my mates got cranks, but the thread for pedal in left crank is stripped, their reallllllly light, like 600 grams each, is this easily fixed?

he also has an SE frame, i want to weigh it so whats the average weight of a bare frame?? as i want to make sure its going to be quite a bit lighter than mine

The crank can be "fixed" but it'll probably involve someone who knows something about metallurgy and at least machine to re-bore the stripped out threads. What I would do is get some metal epoxy, stuff it into the hole and re-bore from there, but that's probably just very DIY and dodgy on the cheap. I'm sure an expert would know better.

No idea about the frame, depends on the purpose of the frame I suppose (dirt, street, freestyle, race, etc.), but mostly how much the frame costs: the more you pay, the liter the frame. As Keith Bontrager (the MTB pioneer) said a long time ago, "cheap, lite or strong -- you can pick only two."
